George Petrie has over 35 years of experience in real estate, finance, and asset management. As former CEO and now Executive Chairman of Goodman Real Estate, he has guided the company to build and grow the organization into a global leader in real estate investment and development.
Under George’s leadership, Goodman Real Estate has developed, acquired, and managed more than 350 assets globally. His collaborative approach and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence have been instrumental in the company’s success. George is passionate about empowering his team, encouraging growth, and creating opportunities for leadership within the organization.
George is passionate about fostering leadership, advocating for housing accessibility, and giving back through the company’s IMPACT initiative, which supports shelter, education, and sustainability.
An active participant in the Rental Housing Association (RHA), George is a strong advocate for housing rights and works to influence policies that support increased housing supply and accessibility. He believes in the importance of removing barriers to housing development and is dedicated to addressing the challenges facing the industry.
Outside of work, George serving on several non-profit boards, community service, and enjoys time with his family boating and skiing.
