George Rownd is a lifelong Rochester resident, George’s background is in the hospitality industry. He leased, managed, and sold over 50 different hotels and restaurants over his career as president of a company with over 350 employees. He also operated retail spaces, apartments, and warehouse facilities, increasing value for his clients.
George put together more than $100 million in financing for his operations and negotiated with many different franchises. He spent 3 years on the Minnesota Hospitality Board of Directors and 10 years, on the Rochester Minnesota Convention and Visitors Bureau Board. George also spent 2 years as President of the Board. George is a Certified Hotel Administrator and a 1985 graduate of St. Johns University.
