Gerhard is a Senior Advisor with Colliers Hotels, focused on the Caribbean, based in Nassau, The Bahamas. In his role with Colliers Hotels, he contributes to business development, relationship management with long standing clients and leading certain complex or special transactions. Gerhard works closely with the Canada-based Colliers Hotels team, which has completed over $3 billion in hospitality brokerage and advisory assignments in the Caribbean over the past decade.
In his previous roles for multinational companies and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, he has directly managed entities or assets worth over $800m and was the originator and executor for successful transactions valued in excess of $2 billion.
Gerhard has worked in The Bahamas and Cayman Islands (including projects in various other Caribbean locations), the United Kingdom and United States, as well as other jurisdictions throughout Europe and South Africa. He has considerable industry experience in real estate, hospitality, retail, mining, renewable energy and financial services.
Gerhard is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and CFA® charterholder.
