Mr. Cordoves is the Western regional president of KBS. As a member of senior leadership, he serves in a variety of capacities companywide. Mr. Cordoves oversees KBS investments across the western half of the United States. Over his career, Mr. Cordoves has executed more than $6 billion in closed acquisition, disposition, and development activity across approximately 90 individual transactions, and additionally has completed many hundreds of office, logistics, outpatient medical, and retail leases with total lease consideration in the billions of dollars. As a member of the KBS Investment Committee, Mr. Cordoves plays a key role in evaluating and authorizing new investment opportunities firmwide. His leadership spans underwriting, execution, and performance oversight for institutional clients across diverse asset classes. Previous responsibilities at the firm include formerly serving as the Co-Director of the KBS Investment Management team, allowing him to influence strategy and execution across the KBS portfolio above and beyond his own assigned territories and leading a team of up to 15 investment professionals. In 2021 Mr. Cordoves was selected as a 2021 Commercial Real Estate Visionary by the Los Angeles Times. Prior to KBS, Mr. Cordoves served as a senior associate at Ernst & Young LLP for three years where he provided a variety of professional services for several Southern California real estate firms, including KBS. Mr. Cordoves received a master’s degree in accounting from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame and bachelor’s degrees in both business administration and accounting from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business and Leventhal School of Accounting. In addition, he is both a licensed real estate broker and a certified public accountant (inactive). Prior to KBS, Mr. Cordoves served as a senior associate at Ernst & Young LLP for three years where he provided a variety of professional services for several Southern California real estate firms, including KBS.
