H. Mark Daley III is the founder and CEO of The Generation Companies, which he established in 1996. He focuses on creating value through progressive lodging development and customer service-oriented operations by partnering with premier extended-stay brands and franchisors. Under his leadership, Generation completed a $215 million recapitalization of its hotel portfolio in October 2016, which he described as "a transformative transaction for Generation" that provided the company with an institutional-caliber balance sheet, a scalable platform, and dedicated growth capital. Daley continues a fifty-year family tradition in the hospitality industry, as his grandfather, Hugh M. Daley Sr., was one of the original Holiday Inn franchisees in 1959.
