Bio
Hayden brings over a decade of experience in real estate investments, acquisitions, and project management. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Investments at Wildhorn Capital, where he led capital markets, acquisition, and disposition efforts focused on value-add multifamily properties. His leadership in building sophisticated investment models and asset management dashboards, along with his success in forging partnerships with institutional investors, was instrumental in the firm’s growth.
Hayden’s earlier career includes senior roles at Stream Realty Partners and Green Street Advisors. At Stream Realty Partners, he managed acquisitions and development projects across major markets,
including Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. His work involved sourcing and underwriting multifamily and industrial development opportunities, negotiating contracts, and overseeing project feasibility and
execution. At Green Street Advisors, Hayden led market intelligence initiatives and managed global client relationships, providing strategic insights and analysis to institutional investors.
Hayden’s background aligns seamlessly with the responsibilities of this newly created positon as we look to expand AvalonBay’s BTR product and offer more townhomes across the portfolio. In this position, he will be responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, managing external relationships, overseeing project feasibility, and leading asset teams through the development lifecycle.
Hayden holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BBA in Finance & Economics from Southern Methodist University. He is a CFA Charterholder and an active
member of several industry associations, including the Urban Land Institute and the National Multifamily Housing Council.
