Ian Symington joined Lion Real Estate Group in 2025 as Vice President/Head of Acquisitions. He is responsible for identifying acquisition opportunities for the Lion portfolio throughout the firm’s strategic target markets within the United States.
Ian brings over a decade of multifamily investment and transaction experience and is an integral part of executing Lion’s strategy of investing in assets that provide superior risk adjusted returns. Prior to joining Lion, Ian was a Director of Investments at Covenant Capital Group where he was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, closing, and executing rehabilitation for over $1 billion of multifamily investments. Before his tenure at Covenant, Ian spent five years at Walker & Dunlop, where he worked with the investment sales, underwriting and asset management teams across various platforms. Ian graduated from The University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Finance.
