Jim Gerish founded Emerald Hospitality in 1999, bringing over 50 years of experience across nearly every facet of the hospitality industry. His career began at age 15 in a drive-in restaurant and evolved through leadership roles, including President of the Snavely Hotel Group and contributor to the launch of Skylight Inns.
He has overseen the development, repositioning, and opening of more than 40 hotels and helped establish the Nimbus Investment Fund to support strategic acquisitions. A Michigan State University honors graduate, Jim remains active with the university’s School of Hospitality Business, serving on its Real Estate Investment Management Advisory Council.
