Mr. Howard, the founder of Progression REI, serves in nearly every aspect of the business, including acquisitions, financing, leasing, asset management, and corporate strategy. He actively fosters key relationships and opportunities, directing the firm on its strategic vision and daily operations.
He is an experienced professional with investment and joint venture expertise gained through over $4 billion of completed transactions. From 2007 to 2013, he was a Principal / Senior Vice President of Bentall Kennedy, a real estate investment advisor with over $31 billion of properties. As head of the transactions team in the Western U.S., he devised and implemented strategies to source opportunities to meet institutional client investment and disposition goals. From 1994 to 2007, he was a Vice President of Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, a diversified, global real estate advisor, managing or servicing nearly $39 billion of assets for clients. He was an original member of their management team and led acquisitions and dispositions in the Western U.S. From 1988 to 1994, he worked at MetLife Real Estate Investments, a global mortgage lender, developer, and owner backed by MetLife, managing over $55 billion invested in commercial mortgages and real estate equities. He asset managed a diversified real estate portfolio and originated equity and mortgage investments. In addition to these institutional responsibilities, he also was an entrepreneurial investor that created significant value through private real estate investment and focused leadership.
He holds a Masters of Real Estate Development, Price School of Public Policy, and a B.S. Business Administration, Marshall School of Business, from the University of Southern California.
