Janet Clark-Sela has spent her life in real estate because it’s what she knows best. Raised in a multi-generational real estate family and a lifelong McKinney resident, she understands land, property, and development through experience, not theory. She learned early how real estate decisions play out over time, not just at the moment a deal closes.
Early in her career, Janet had wonderful mentors of longtime and lifetime McKinney natives
whose career spans more than four decades in real estate, development, and civic leadership across Collin County. Through his work as a broker and owner, Janet developed an understanding of how real estate decisions influence social living, community connection, and long-term growth.
Those mentorship instilled a deep respect for strategy, governance, and long-term value over short-term transactions. Today, that foundation guides how Janet advises clients. She helps them focus on the facts, understand financial and regulatory implications, and make informed decisions rooted in long-term growth, access, and value.
Since beginning her career in 1993, Janet has advised clients across residential and commercial real estate throughout North Texas. While she continues to serve residential clients, her focus today is on commercial sales, land, development, and investment opportunities, guiding complex transactions with clarity and efficiency. She leads Social Living Real Estate with a commercial-led approach, grounded in experience, discipline, and a practical understanding of how thoughtful decisions create long-term value.
