Specializing in tenant representation, Janet works with her team to deliver consolidated oversight to clients with multiple office and industrial locations, particularly in the professional services, engineering and energy sectors.
Professional Expertise
Janet has collected diverse experience throughout her prolific career. During her 15 years in the oil and gas industry, she focused on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, mineral lands and contracts. Janet provided critical support through the Renaissance/Husky merger, after closing the disposition of Petro Canada's Western Canadian conventional oil assets to those respective companies in the year prior.
Janet's professional journey includes executive business development through building strong partnerships in the Human Resources sector. Over her 6 years in this role, Janet worked with some of the largest organizations in North America and served Calgary clients that were expanding into new global markets. With industry wide commitments to achieve net zero, Janet emersed herself in all facets of the energy transition by working with dynamic companies in renewables, sustainable fuels, carbon capture, LNG, hydrogen production and oil and gas technology.
Awards, achievements and activities
Janet has been a proud member of the Calgary Winter Club since 2006 and served on The Board of Directors from 2016 - 2024. In her final year on the Board, Janet was the Co-Chair of the Capital Planning Committee and sat on the Search & Selection Committee, which was formed to hire a new CEO. She has driven important mandates over her tenure by collaborating with Committees that oversee Governance & Nominating, Finance & Audit and Member Engagement. Beyond her Board work, Janet is an enthusiastic tennis player and has enjoyed countless social and athletic opportunities with her family and friends at the club. Janet is a member of Canadian Women in Energy (CWiE) and acts as an ambassador for an array of local charities, not for profit organizations and start-up businesses in Calgary.
