Janis began working with Travis Commercial Real Estate Services as Director of Marketing in January, 2012. She is responsible for the company website and development of all company marketing materials, including the planning, design and implementation of all electronic and print marketing pieces for all properties. In addition, Janis assists with research, special client presentations and database management. She coordinates Public Relations efforts and manages new marketing initiatives for all properties leased and managed by Travis Commercial Real Estate Services.
Ms. Ploetz began her real estate career in San Antonio in 1983 and became a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker in 1985. After working in real estate sales and marketing for over six years, Janis became an Account Supervisor with a local advertising agency overseeing several real estate-related accounts. For the next 12 years as a marketing professional, Janis developed and executed strategic multimedia advertising, public relations and marketing campaigns for a variety of local, regional and national clients. In 2002, Janis returned to real estate as a Sales and Leasing Associate, specializing in industrial and office properties. Prior to joining Travis Commercial, Janis was the Marketing Manager for Cross & Company and Cushman & Wakefield/San Antonio Commercial Advisors for eight years.
Janis graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She and her husband, Jim, are the proud parents of twins, Jordan and Jett.
