Bio
Jason Limbert serves as Director of Acquisitions at DealPoint Merrill, where he oversees sourcing, underwriting, and executing acquisition opportunities across the firm’s national adaptive-reuse and value-add redevelopment portfolio. In this role, he identifies underperforming retail and big-box properties suitable for repositioning into self-storage, mixed-use, or other resilient asset classes. His responsibilities include evaluating potential acquisitions, managing deal negotiations, and coordinating due diligence activities that support DealPoint Merrill’s investment strategy. Limbert plays a central role in cultivating relationships with national retailers—including Walmart, Kmart/Sears, and Albertsons—to identify off-market opportunities aligned with the company’s expansion objectives.
With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Limbert has closed more than $900 million in transactions across retail, multifamily, and specialized redevelopment projects. Prior to joining DealPoint Merrill, he worked extensively in ground-up multifamily development, leading land acquisition and entitlement activities for low-income housing projects valued at more than $400 million. His background includes significant expertise in zoning, entitlement, construction coordination, and city-agency engagement to enable successful asset repositioning. Limbert has also managed large-scale retail-to-storage conversions, overseeing more than one million square feet representing 15,000 self-storage units across 15 properties, with completed assets operated by CubeSmart, the nation’s fourth-largest self-storage REIT.
