Jason Smallwood began his real estate career in 2006 with Avtex Commercial Properties, where he played a key role in the development, leasing, and financing of grocery-anchored and retail power centers throughout the Southeast. He later joined Madison Capital Group, focusing on sourcing, developing, and raising capital for self-storage and retail single-tenant net lease properties across the United States.
Over the past decade, Jason has specialized in the retail single-tenant net lease sector, working with national credit tenants and high-credit franchisees, including Chick-fil-A, McDonald’s, Whataburger, 7-Eleven, Murphy Express, and 7 Brew. Throughout his career, he has been involved in more than $500 million in ground lease and build-to-suit development, acquisitions, and dispositions.
Jason played soccer at the University of South Carolina, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing.
