Jay D. Shaffer co-founded Colton Commercial & Partners in 2007. Jay specializes in the investment sales and leasing of commercial office space. Although Jay focuses across the greater bay area, he specializes in the San Francisco market. As a Marin County native, his extensive local relationships and experience in the community have allowed him to expand his network & client base. With 22+ years of brokerage experience, Jay began his career in commercial real estate with Arroyo & Coates. Early in 2005, Jay was recruited to the Charles Dunn Company. In 2005, Jay earned Rookie of the Year for Charles Dunn Company. Jay has completed over 750 lease and sale transactions, totaling in excess of $1 Billion in value.
Prior to working in commercial real estate, he was the General Manager of Heartwell Golf Course for American Golf Corporation, the Nation’s largest golf management firm.
Jay graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics.
