Jeffrey R. Doussan, Jr. is a seventh-generation New Orleanian whose family has lived and worked in this city for more than two hundred years. He is the owner and Operating Principal of Keller Williams Realty New Orleans, co-founder and chief technology officer of Agent Intelligence Corp, and a co-developer of the Louis Park Hotel. Everything he builds, he builds here.
He came to the brokerage at sixteen, sent after school to fix agents' computers back when the MLS was shifting from books to dial-up modem access. After Hurricane Katrina he helped bring the office back, starting with a chainsaw to cut the trees blocking its driveway and ending with restoring operations. He took over day-to-day management in 2015 and bought the business from his father in 2021.
Founded in 1998, Keller Williams Realty New Orleans is the largest multi-generational brokerage in the market, with more than 140 agents and roughly $250 million in annual transactions across residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial and investment property. Doussan's ambition for it is to be the center of New Orleans real estate: the hub through which the market's information, listings and deal-making run. Its promise to agents is entrepreneurial freedom with real support, and it holds itself to one test, whether its agents build wealth, make more money and buy back their time.
He is also building the software. Through Agent Intelligence Corp he develops AI tools that help brokerage leaders run better businesses and help agents do better work. More than 6,000 agents across North America now use it to run their businesses. It is the same problem he was solving at sixteen, at a different scale.
Doussan still practices, and takes only the transactions that are genuinely difficult: successions, trusts, multi-generational family portfolios, bankruptcies in Chapters 7, 11 and 13, distressed dispositions and bond defaults. He serves as court-appointed keeper, Louisiana's term for what most of the country calls a receiver, and is retained by trustees, receivers, secured lenders, bond trustees and counsel. His work spans multifamily, retail, office, industrial, land, hospitality and institutional property including schools and places of worship.
He invests in the city as well as sells it. He co-developed the Louis Park Hotel, eleven historic guesthouses in Treme dating to 1821, a block from Armstrong Park.
Doussan hosts THE Meeting at KW New Orleans, a recurring forum with the people running the city across business, government and public safety. He sits on the executive board of the Metropolitan Crime Commission and co-chairs its 2026 Excellence in Law Enforcement Awards Luncheon, is a director of Resilience New Orleans, serves on the College of Business advisory board at Loyola University New Orleans, and is Past President of Entrepreneurs' Organization Louisiana. Biz New Orleans named him one of its Most Influential, Involved and Inspiring Executives in 2024 and 2025.
A graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School and Loyola University New Orleans, where he earned a BBA with a minor in entrepreneurship, Doussan lives in Old Metairie with his wife, Lauren Zimmer Doussan, and their three children. Lauren is board vice president of the Louisiana Children's Museum and serves on the board of trustees and executive committee of Louise S. McGehee School. Their daughters, Iris and Quinn, attend Louise S. McGehee School, and their son, Roman, attends Trinity Episcopal School.
