Jim Ballard serves as President of f STG Group, headquartered in Petaluma, California. In this role, he oversees strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions, leasing, and asset management for a portfolio. His leadership focuses on multitenant industrial, retail, and office complexes across Western states and select Midwest markets. Under his direction, STG has executed significant acquisitions, including retail centers and industrial properties in Chicago suburbs and flex buildings in Skokie, Illinois, supporting the firm’s aggressive expansion strategy.
Ballard joined STG in 2006 as Director of Acquisitions and Leasing, later advancing to Managing Director in 2014 before assuming the presidency in 2021. His tenure has been marked by consistent portfolio growth and diversification into new geographic markets. Prior to STG, Ballard worked as an associate broker at Newmark Knight Frank from 2004 to 2006 and began his career as a sales associate with Tri Commercial from 2002 to 2004, specializing in commercial real estate transactions in the San Francisco Bay Area.
