Bio
Jim Clewlow was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and joined the Board of Directors of CenterPoint in 2025. Prior to this role, he served as Chief Operating Officer beginning in 2023, following an 18-year tenure as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer.
Jim began his career at CenterPoint in 1997 as Vice President of Acquisitions, Development, and Leasing. In 1999, he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Investments and became a member of the Executive Committee. As Senior Vice President, he also oversaw the joint venture the Company had formed with CalPERS in 1999. The success of the joint venture led to CalPERS acquisition of the Company in 2006.
Jim is a member of NAIOP and served as President of its Chicago chapter in 2012. Illinois Governor Pat Quinn appointed him to the Illinois Medical District Board of Commissioners, which he served from 2012 to 2016. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
