Bio
JoBeth Prochaska serves as Senior Vice President of Development and Asset Management with Weitzman’s Houston office, where she is responsible for overseeing retail development activity and the ongoing performance of a portfolio of shopping centers across the greater Houston market. In her current role, she manages the development of new and expanded retail projects and provides day-to-day oversight of asset management functions, including operations, leasing strategy, budgeting, capital improvements, construction coordination, financing compliance, and lease negotiations. Her responsibilities also include maximizing net operating income through rent structuring, expense controls, and property tax appeal oversight, as well as representing ownership in tenant negotiations, loan compliance, and casualty or condemnation matters. Prochaska joined Weitzman in 2006 and has advanced into a senior leadership role within the firm’s development and asset management platform. Prior to joining Weitzman, she worked in development for a retail real estate developer, gaining experience that now supports her oversight of the full lifecycle of retail assets—from entitlement and construction through stabilization and long-term operations. Throughout her tenure at Weitzman, she has been actively involved in coordinating with municipalities, managing third-party consultants, negotiating incentive agreements, and executing capital improvement programs designed to enhance asset performance and long-term value.
