Mr. Cherry is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He began his career in commercial real estate at Coldwell Banker Commercial (now C.B. Richard Ellis), where he was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award given to the first year individual generating the largest commission income. He received the Top Five Producer Award five times during his eight-year tenure with the company.
In 1994, Mr. Cherry became the founding partner of Cherry & Associates in Nashville, TN. He moved to Charlotte in 1999 to open the North Carolina office. Mr. Cherry has a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, awarded by the Certified Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
