John is the Managing Principal and one of the founding members of Lee & Associates Denver. John's impressive 40+ year commercial real estate career includes industry pioneer, Van Schaak & Company, and includes a 17- year tenure with Fuller and Company (now Cushman & Wakefield), serving in many roles such as a Principal and Director, as well as Managing Broker. John's commercial real estate experience is supplemented by significant experience as a marketing director for various Chicago based automotive OEM companies.
John has been recognized as a top achiever and top performing real estate broker by the Denver Board of Realtors, and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), a highly respected national organization of commercial real estate professionals.
John formed Bitzer Real Estate Partners in 1995, guided by his integrity and based on the principles and performance standards that he has maintained throughout his vast career. As Managing Broker, he is both mentor and advisor to all members of the Bitzer team, now Lee & Associates Denver.
