Real Estate Specialty As Managing Principal of the Company, Mr. DeHardt has overall responsibility for all functions performed by the Company, including Development, Brokerage, Property Management, and Construction. Kessinger/Hunter & Company is the largest full service commercial real estate firm in Kansas City, Missouri. The Company operates over 20,000,000 square feet of office, industrial, and retail properties in 23 states.
John remains personally involved with all projects under our management to ensure that the owner's goals are being met and that all properties are being maintained efficiently and effectively, increasing their value in the marketplace. This involvement includes reviewing accounting reports, visiting each property regularly, meeting with owners to discuss their changing needs and consulting with our property supervisors on all major decisions affecting the projects.
Career History Mr. DeHardt joined the Company in 1981 as Director of Property Management. During his tenure, Mr. DeHardt has contributed greatly to the Company’s growth from a staff of fifteen handling 1,300,000 square feet to over 200 employees operating over 200 projects totaling over 20,000 square feet.
John is the Managing Partner of 20 real estate partnerships owning 3,000,000 square feet of primarily industrial properties in eight states including Missouri, Kansas, California, Florida, and Texas.
