As Vice President of Development at Alpha Barnes, John oversees new developments and acquisitions in Texas. John contributes to every stage of the ground-up development process including: underwriting, financial modeling, resident-focused community design, entitlements, debt & equity financing, construction administration, and asset management. Since 2015, John has worked on multifamily developments and acquisitions in excess of $115M. The portfolio includes both Class A conventional communities as well as affordable housing. In addition, John maintains ongoing communication with clients and investors involved in new projects.
John is very involved with his church and also serves as a board member and secretary of Operation Relief Center (ORC), a non-profit focused on preserving affordable housing and facilitating personal, financial and spiritual growth of the residents at each community in which the non-profit is involved. John’s role on the board of ORC is to advise on new construction projects and affordable property acquisitions. John is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he was involved in collegiate athletics as the punter of the Texas Longhorn football team. John is licensed as a real estate salesperson in the state of Texas.
