John Heitmann is a Senior Vice President with Colliers Debt & Structured Finance, where he focuses on structuring, marketing, and placing capital for institutional and private investors. He is part of Colliers’ U.S. Healthcare Capital Markets platform, working alongside investment sales professionals to deliver integrated capital solutions across the healthcare real estate sector. John specializes in financing medical outpatient buildings, ambulatory surgical centers, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and single-tenant net-lease healthcare assets.
John brings more than 10 years of real estate capital markets experience, including over seven years dedicated to healthcare real estate. Throughout his career, he has advised clients on a wide range of debt and equity placements supporting acquisitions, refinancings, and development projects nationwide. Prior to joining Colliers, John spent four years with Northmarq Capital and its predecessor, Stan Johnson and Company, where he was a founding member of Northmarq’s National Healthcare Group and played a key role in sourcing capital for single-tenant net-lease investments. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Cadence Capital Partners and Alpha Capital, boutique Chicago-based capital markets firms.
John is based in Chicago and holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance.
