Bio
John Kim is Principal of Miren.Co and Co-Founder of Opodz, a pioneering and prominent co-working space in Downtown Los Angeles. His expertise in commercial real estate law, strategy, and practice spans almost a decade in the industry, through which he’s personally advised on over $150 million in transactions and oversaw a portfolio of $3 billion in assets.
Prior to forming Miren.Co, John served Jamison Services, one of Southern California’s largest privately-held commercial real estate firms, as its In-House Counsel for almost seven years. At Jamison, he oversaw all leasing activities for its $3 Billion (market cap) portfolio and focused on Los Angeles’ most competitive submarkets, including Downtown LA, the South Bay, the San Fernando Valley, the Mid-Wilshire District, and the Westside. He also oversaw Jamison’s litigation and resolutions to tenant/landlord disputes, however complex, including bankruptcy matters.
John earned his Juris Doctorate from the Whittier College of Law and his B.A. in Criminology Law and Society from the University of California at Irvine. On his spare time, he enjoys being with his family on whatever adventure his two sons want to partake in for the day.
