Bio
John Keeling is responsible for sourcing and evaluating hotel acquisitions and development projects for Valencia Hotel Group and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. He has more than 30 years of experience in hotel management, asset management, brokerage, appraisal, development consulting, and strategic planning.
He previously held senior roles at PKF Consulting and Laventhol & Horwath and held management positions with Marriott International.
Keeling holds a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles; an MBA in Hotel Management from Michigan State University; and an MA in Theology from the University of St. Thomas. He is a Certified Hotel Industry Analyst (CHIA).
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning the Purple Heart and the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat “V,” and has received industry recognition including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Houston and induction into the Michigan State University School of Hospitality Business Hall of Fame.
