John Schlacter is a full-service real estate broker. He provides a comprehensive range of commercial and residential services, including real estate investment and development, commercial tenant representation, landlord representation, transaction services and consulting.
Mr. Schlacter is a strategic solution-driven leader with more than 15 years of commercial and residential real estate experience including 10 years of multi-million-dollar transaction experience. He provides a full range of analytical and communication skills with broad experience in revenue enhancement and operational efficiency.
Mr. Schlacter brings decades of business development and asset management experience to the Texas real estate market. The first company he ran in Texas was C3 Consulting, which was focused on IT and software integration. He merged C3 consulting with InterMethod Solutions, a full-service IT and software company. After InterMethod Solutions, Mr. Schlacter went to work for David Weekly Homes and developed the Mills Point subdivision with more than 95 homes. He moved into real estate in 2002 with his first company, MOV Holdings, LLC, and focused on the leasing of medical offices and the commercial build- out of dental and medical offices. MOV Holdings, LLC, in three years of real estate development and construction, did more than $16.2 million in build-outs. In 2005 Mr. Schlacter reformed the company and changed the name to TX Wide Realty (TWR®). With this change he moved away from commercial build- out to strictly focusing on real estate investment, development and REO flips.
John graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Business Management. Mr. Schlacter graduated with full honors achieving the Thomas Ira Cook Award for Excellence and Summa Cum Laude with a M.A. in Political Science with a focus in international trade and politics from the University of Texas at El Paso. He furthered his academic career with post graduate work at Miami University with a focus on the integration of business in the European Union and trade from Central Asia.
