Joe is a hospitality veteran with over 30 years of experience, beginning with the University of Tennessee’s Restaurant Management program and progressing through roles in restaurant ownership and hotel operations. His career includes leadership positions at the Knoxville Marriott and Holiday Inn World’s Fair Park, and a decade-long tenure at Gibson Hotel Management, where he advanced from General Manager to Executive Vice President.
Since shifting focus to development in 2016, Joe has led the opening of 15 hotels across Marriott, Hilton, and IHG brands. Now serving as Executive Vice President of Development at Gibson Hospitality Ventures, he oversees new construction projects with a focus on full-service, lifestyle, and resort properties.
