Bio
Jude Crayton serves as Director of Leasing at Coastal Equities, where he is responsible for overseeing leasing strategy and execution across the firm’s national retail portfolio. In this role, Crayton manages tenant sourcing, lease negotiations, renewals, and brokerage coordination, while also overseeing third-party leasing relationships and tenant build-out processes. He plays a central role in maximizing occupancy and rental performance across Coastal Equities’ grocery-anchored and value-oriented shopping centers, negotiating with both national and regional tenants. His responsibilities include coordinating leasing strategy across dozens of properties and supporting portfolio-wide operational performance through tenant mix optimization and lease structuring.
Crayton joined Coastal Equities in 2015 after more than 16 years working for retail property owners and leasing platforms, bringing extensive experience in landlord representation and retail leasing. Prior to Coastal Equities, he held roles including Principal at Chelsea Real Estate Partners, Director of Leasing at JDH Capital, and Senior Leasing Representative at Centro Properties Group, where he was involved in leasing large-scale retail portfolios across multiple U.S. markets. Over his career, Crayton has worked on hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail transactions, including lease-up of Walmart-anchored centers and redevelopment projects.
With 25+ years of commercial real estate experience, Crayton specializes in retail leasing, landlord representation, and tenant negotiation strategies. His geographic focus spans multiple U.S. markets east of the Mississippi, including the Southeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions. He works across property types including shopping centers, neighborhood retail, and select healthcare-oriented retail assets, contributing to Coastal Equities’ long-term leasing and asset management strategy
