Bio
I am a real estate broker and have represented both Landlords of major office buildings and mom and pop retail tenants. Assisted owners with management issues and tenant relations. For seven years was involved in site selection and development with a developer for a major pharmacy chain in the Houston, Texas area. Currently doing general brokerage work and focusing on solving problems with real estate that no longer fits the owner's profile. Property doesn't change but owners and their expectations do. The straight brokerage solution is not always the best answer. It is thinking outside the box that gets the job done. Mr. Landin has been active in the real estate industry for over 48 years. He obtained his real estate Salesman license in 1975 and subsequently obtained his real estate Broker license in 1977. His career has spanned from landlord’s representative responsible for leasing several major high-rise office buildings in Houston’s Central Business District to commercial brokerage work. In 2001, Mr. Landin joined BCD Ventures, a national developer for Walgreens. The primary focus was to identify and acquire potential sites, assistant with develop of the project and subsequently assist with the disposition of the triple net leased property. In September 2008 Walgreens stopped their expansion program until 2012, so Mr. Landin returned to the brokerage business through his company Landin Interest, Inc. Since that time he has worked with individual companies, banks and investors to obtain or dispose of their real estate assets as well as doing some retail leasing for a developer. In October of 2012, Mr. Landin partnered with Claire Sinclair Properties, LLC in Baytown as its Managing Partner. Mr. Landin is continuing in his brokerage role with a focus more on the consulting and counseling in the real estate industry. This becomes a much larger and broader role of client service that just the typical transaction broker. As a result of this direction, he has become more involved with the national organization, Society of Exchange Counselors (SEC). This has broadened exposure to a national marketing group, which thinks “outside of the box” for client solutions and conducts nationwide marketing meetings on a regular basis which allows exposure to a much broader range of solutions and opportunities for client’s real estate goals. Wayne has a BBA in finance from the University of Houston and has taught various real estate classes for the San Jacinto College System. He has been married to his wife of 52 years, Bonnie, and they have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. They live in the Lomax area of La Porte, Texas and are involved in various capacities at First Baptist Pasadena.
