Bio
Karen Brown joined York Properties in 2012 and brings a strong background in commercial property management. She enjoys the diversity of her day-to-day work and values the opportunity to spend time onsite at properties, working closely with clients and tenants to support well-maintained, efficiently operated assets.
Karen holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She is also engaged in the community, serving as a wish grantor and fundraiser for Make-A-Wish and volunteering with the Green Chair Project.
Karen earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University. Outside of work, she enjoys walking the Raleigh greenway system—working toward a personal goal of walking every mile—spending time at the beach or lake, and relaxing with a good glass of wine. Her ideal Saturday in the Triangle includes a greenway walk, a stop at a local brewery, and an outdoor movie at the art museum. She has two grown children and one very grown cat.
