Bio
Karen was born in Ashland, Kentucky, and graduated from Paul G. Blazer High School. She obtained her degree in business administration from Marshall University and began a career in real estate in 1998. Karen has worked diligently to grow her business since then and am currently a full-time Realtor licensed in West Virginia and Ohio. Karen is a member of the Huntington Board of Realtors and the Kanawha Valley Board of Realtors.
Karen’s real estate accreditations include ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate of Realtor Institute), RMM (Residential Marketing Master), CREN (Certified Residential Negotiator), ASP (Accredited Staging Professional), and MRP (Military Relocation Professional).
The ABR designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agency Council, Inc. places Karen in the company of only about 30,000 real estate professionals. This designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation and demonstrates her commitment to providing outstanding service for real estate buyers.
The CRS designation places me Karen in the top 3% of real estate agents in the country. This designation not only provides her with the knowledge and professional tools to represent her clients, but it provides access to a network of like agents across the nation, enabling Karen to interchange ideas and processes with some of the best in the field, as well as insure quality service and representation to clients relocating to other parts of our nation.
Karen’s ASP membership provides her with skills and tools to ensure, with your cooperation, that your home presents itself best to real estate agents and prospective buyers, both in person and on the internet, when it initially goes onto the market.
Karen’s MRP designation provides her with the education needed to work with current and former military service members to find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and take full advantage of military benefits and support.
Hard work and dedication to her career, in combination with previous experience in customer service with American Electric Power, has been the key to Karen’s success beginning with her selection as "Rookie of the Year" in 1999 with Ullom Realty (now Old Colony, Realtors) to a top producing agent with Old Colony, Realtors.
With more than 23 years in real estate, much of Karen’s business today is from repeat clients and referrals from past customers and friends. Karen’s real estate team consists of a licensed Realtor assistant and a Client Care Manager to ensure we meet your every real estate need as efficiently and promptly as possible.
