Karim Lakhani is Chief Development Officer at Lakhani Hospitality, Inc., where he leads the company’s growth strategy through new development and acquisitions. He began working in the family business at age 14 and later earned a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, graduating summa cum laude. Karim initially focused on operations and development of the company’s Chicagoland properties, including the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Niles, Illinois. After earning a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2019, he returned to Lakhani Hospitality as legal counsel and Director of Operations and Development. In that role, he oversaw the launch of the avid hotel Chicago O’Hare – Des Plaines, the company’s sixth property and the first avid hotel in Illinois.
