Karina Lopez brings over 17 years of combined experience in public service and economic development, with expertise in office administration, project management, and strategic collaboration with business leaders and community stakeholders. Her work has focused on supporting small businesses, driving economic growth, expanding retail outreach, and fostering job creation.
An alumna of the University of Texas–Pan American, Karina holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Spanish—an academic foundation that strengthens her ability to connect with and serve diverse communities.
Throughout her career, she has led workforce development initiatives, secured funding for impactful community programs, and overseen chamber operations and business development efforts. Her experience also includes community engagement, marketing, and supporting commercial investment.
Karina is also actively involved in her community. She has held leadership roles on several boards and committees, including serving as President of the Rotary Club of Pharr and as a member of the PSJA ISD Advisory Board. Her dedication to service reflects a strong commitment to expanding opportunity and making a meaningful impact.
