Mr. Buchanan founded Buchanan Capital Partners (BCP) in 2019, his follow-on investment firm after co-founding and operating Barton Creek Capital (BCC) which was established in 2005. BCC founding partners continue to manage and privately own long-term real estate holdings while all future investments will be exclusive to BCP. Mr. Buchanan has over 25 years of real estate acquisition, development, underwriting, capital structuring, and fundraising experience. As a principal, he has made equity investments in a variety of real estate sectors including value-add and ground up multifamily, office, industrial, retail, condo and townhome developments equating to over ±2,500 units throughout the US. He has also been involved in commercial acquisition and development of medical, retail, industrial, and office space totaling over 1.9 million square feet. Prior to BCC, Keith served as a Partner of Acquisitions at Cummings-Baccus Interests (CBI) which completed in excess of 1.5 million square feet of office acquisitions focused on the Southwestern United States. Prior to CBI, he served as Vice President of Acquisitions at Capital Commercial Investments (CCI). In that role, CCI acquired 1.2 million square feet of office product located in Texas.

Mr. Buchanan is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, and a Commercial Certified Investment Member (CCIM) Candidate. He serves on the Board of Rawson Saunders School and Crossroads Scholars.
