Ken Takanashi is Executive Vice President and Corporate Director for Rockefeller Group. In this role, Mr. Takanashi is a key liaison between Rockefeller Group and its parent company, Mitsubishi Estate Company (MEC) and is a member of the company’s board of directors as well as its investment committee. Prior to joining Rockefeller Group, Mr. Takanashi was General Manager of Logistics REIT Management Department in Mitsubishi Estate Investment Advisors, Inc. He joined Mitsubishi Estate at its headquarters in Tokyo in 1997 and was assigned to various real estate operations positions including acquisition and development of commercial assets in Japan. In April 2012, Mr. Takanashi was transferred to Mitsubishi Estate New York Inc. as Vice President, where he worked on many of Mitsubishi Estate’s investments in office properties in U.S gateway cities. In April 2013, he was transferred to Rockefeller Group Investment Management Inc. where he was responsible for managing an office property fund. In May 2015, Mr. Takanashi was transferred to TA Realty and was responsible for fundraising for a new core open-ended property fund. In April 2017, Mr. Takanashi was transferred to the International Business Planning Department in Mitsubishi Estate as Senior Director, and was responsible for formulating the international portion of the Mitsubishi Estate’s Long- Term Business Plan 2030, budgeting control, and corporate governance of Mitsubishi Estate’s overseas subsidiary companies.
Mr. Takanashi earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Tokyo.
