Bio
Kevin Churchwell is the newest addition to the K2 Home Group of Realty Plus Associates. Kevin found his passion for real estate in 2019 when he took a leap of faith leaving the casino industry that he’d known for 8 years to pursue a career that excites and motivates him. Though his timing of gaining his license came just before Covid 19 shut the entire world down, he did not let that stop him from learning any and everything he could about the business. Kevin has spent time with the Coldwell Banker in White Marsh, and most recently the last two years with Redfin. He is a firm believer that everyone deserves a home to call their own to create memories that last a lifetime. When asked why he wanted to get into the real estate business, Kevin’s reply was “I believe that we were put on this planet to do many things, and one of the most important things in my life is having a positive impact on everyone that I encounter. To be able to help people through one of the most important decisions that they will make, whether its buying their dream house or selling a home full of memories, I want to be there for them.” Kevin grew up a Marylander, spending most of his childhood in the PG county area. After graduating from high school, he pursued his college education at the University of Maryland in College Park (GO TERPS!). Prior to gaining his real estate license, he spent 14 years in the service and hospitality industry, mainly within the Maryland Casinos. He began as a table games dealer, and later took on a supervisory and scheduling role with the Horseshoe casino in Baltimore. He spent 5 and a half years there before ultimately deciding to seek a more rewarding career in Real Estate. When it comes to taking care of customers and clients, Kevin believes in the importance of making a personal connection and going above and beyond to ensure satisfactory results! Kevin and his wife, Samantha, have been together for seven years and married for two. They have a five-year-old son named Brayden and a 2-year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix named Scooby. They currently live in the White Marsh area but dream of having a home in the south as well. He is a big fan of DC sports, mainly the Washington Capitals. In his free time, he loves to play recreational ice hockey along with other sports. Whether his son takes a liking into sports or not, he would love the opportunity to coach a youth sports team.
