Bio
Kevin Hiniker is a partner at Castlelake as well as chief compliance officer and general counsel. He is responsible for the firm’s legal and compliance activities. He also serves as secretary of Castlelake’s Investment Review Committee. Mr. Hiniker joined Castlelake in 2007 and became a partner of the firm in 2014. Mr. Hiniker has extensive experience advising global portfolio, research, and trading teams in their purchase, management and sale of domestic and international assets, debt and securities, leveraged leases, bank loans, collateralized debt obligations, structured securities, commercial mortgage loans and limited partnerships.
Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. Hiniker was vice president and group counsel at Ameriprise Financial and its asset management subsidiary, RiverSource Investments. Prior to joining Ameriprise, Mr. Hiniker was with Advantus Capital Management providing counsel for their legal and compliance activities. Mr. Hiniker began his career as an associate at the Briggs & Morgan. Mr. Hiniker received his J.D. cum laude and B.A. from the University of Minnesota in political science.
