Kevin grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Chinese immigrant parents who ran a long-time neighborhood restaurant while steadily building a small real estate portfolio. His grandfather had a simple maxim: if you can buy it, do so — especially if it’s in your own neighborhood. His parents loved looking at houses, and that idea stayed with him.
He lived and studied in the United Kingdom, earning a Master’s in Diplomacy, International Law, and Economics from SOAS in London, and then moved to Berkeley for law school. He arrived in San Francisco twenty years ago, rented like everyone starting out, and now owns two homes in the city — including one that started as a garage-sale twist.
Kevin is an attorney-turned–top-producing agent who has helped buyers and sellers close more than $425 million in Bay Area homes. He works with buyers and sellers in nearly equal measure, which gives him a clear sense of what people hope for, what they worry about, and what actually moves the market. After all these years, he’s still energized by the work — it feels less like a job and more like the thing he’s meant to do.
He leads Team K.Ho at Vanguard Properties, the city’s largest locally owned luxury brokerage, where he’s been proudly anchored since 2010. He brings a lawyer’s precision, a designer’s eye, and a reporter’s instinct for clean, compelling writing. You see it in his contract strategy and in his 1,200-plus YouTube walk-throughs (@kevho94114), which have earned him more than 4,500 subscribers and many hours trying not to drop a gimbal.
Outside of work, Kevin is an avid sci-fi fan, a devoted HGTV and This Old House watcher, a classical-music enthusiast, and someone who genuinely enjoys going to the gym. He loves entertaining — clients, friends, and the many people who become both after working with him.
Team K.Ho includes Radu, a Guide Dogs for the Blind breeder dog with ambitious puppy plans, and Raffi, the late black Labrador who helped Kevin and his former partner build their practice from the early days.
Kevin loves people, stays close with clients who often become lifelong friends, and treats real estate as a craft: part analysis, part design, part advocacy, and, always, a true joy.
