Kevin’s commercial real estate career began in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1982. He assisted companies in negotiating leases, finding new office space, buying and selling buildings. Relocating to Atlanta, Kevin quickly became one of the top brokers at ICON Commercial. Kevin met David Payne while working with one of his clients. David was assisting the company with the coordination of their relocation. Kevin was so impressed with the job that David had done he convinced David to team up with him at Icon. David’s relocation coordination skills perfectly complemented Kevin’s negotiation expertise. After much success at ICON, the Mitchell and Payne team created Benchmark Commercial Real Estate Services, focusing exclusively on tenant representation brokerage, in 2002. Kevin holds a BS in Business Administration from St. John’s University.
