Kevin Purcell serves as Senior Vice President and Director of Asset Management at HRP Group, where he oversees the firm’s asset management strategy and operations across its redevelopment portfolio. In this role, he is responsible for managing day-to-day activities at project sites, reporting to capital partners, and coordinating with development and finance teams to ensure successful execution. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing HRP’s mission to transform complex industrial sites into modern, sustainable real estate assets.
Purcell brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate. Before joining HRP in 2020, he held senior leadership positions at MB Real Estate, including President of Leasing and Management Services and Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President. During his tenure, he directed major repositioning and redevelopment projects in Chicago’s Central Business District, overseeing more than $250 million in improvements. His efforts included securing Class L tax status for landmark properties and driving occupancy rates from 20% to over 90% in key portfolios. Purcell also spearheaded acquisitions and renovations of notable properties such as One North LaSalle and 549 West Randolph, earning recognition for revitalizing historic assets and enhancing urban infrastructure.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Purcell is actively engaged in industry and civic organizations. He serves on the boards of BOMA Chicago and the University of Chicago Medical Center, and is a past Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago. His extensive background in asset management, development, and leasing positions him as a key contributor to HRP’s growth and strategic vision.
