Kim McGuire joined the Retail Services Group of CBRE in 2008 as a Senior vice President. Over the course of his career, Kim McGuire has been responsible for hundreds of lease transactions, achieving considerable success in both tenant representation and product leasing. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. McGuire was a Managing Principal for Northern Realty Group. Mr. McGuire’s most visible accomplishments include the original 12,000-square-foot, free-standing Banana Republic flagship store on Chicago’s North Michigan Avenue; an unconventional 36,000-square-foot Whole Foods grocery store, located in downtown Evanston and part of a mixed-use development with rooftop parking; the free-standing Shaw’s Crab House and Big Bowl restaurants at the Streets of Woodfield center in Schaumburg, IL; and famed Chef Grant Achatz’s fine-dining Alinea restaurant in Chicago. As tenant representative, McGuire has overseen site procurement for more than 100 Starbucks Coffee stores in Metropolitan Chicago and has represented Chipotle Mexican Grill, Fox & Hound, Flat Top Grille, Cosi , Kinko’s Copies and a number of other chain and independent retailers and restaurants.
