Kirsten Vaselaar loves design and hospitality. She took a circuitous route through oil & gas accounting, application tech support, and affordable housing development to discover that her true passion lay in creating welcoming spaces that charm guests with a rich sense of place. Always maintaining focus on the final product, Kirsten leads a team of development, finance, design, and construction professionals through the development process from initial site control through the transition to operations. Since joining HRI in 2006, she has managed over $500 million of development projects, including eight Historic Tax Credit projects. She is a Texas CPA and holds Masters degrees in both Accounting and Historic Preservation.
