Kyle Knight serves as Senior Vice President with Weitzman’s Houston office, where he focuses on retail project leasing and retail tenant representation throughout the greater Houston market. In his role, Knight represents both landlords and tenants across a wide range of retail property types, including neighborhood and community shopping centers, freestanding retail, and land sites intended for retail development. His responsibilities include site selection, market analysis, lease negotiation, project positioning, and advising ownership on tenant mix and leasing strategy to enhance long-term asset performance.
Knight has been with Weitzman since 2007, progressing into a senior leadership role within the firm’s Houston retail brokerage platform. Over the course of his career, he has represented a diverse roster of ownership groups, developers, and institutional investors, as well as national, regional, and local retail tenants. His landlord representation experience includes working with groups such as FSC Realty, PMRG, DRA Advisors, Weingart Foundation, Heitman, US Toy Company, North American Development Company, Clay Group Properties, and Friendswood Development Company. On the tenant representation side, Knight has completed transactions for brands including Valvoline Instant Oil Change, SwimLabs, Apex Urgent Care Clinic, LightRx Face & Body, Mellow Mushroom, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Comet Cleaners, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Cane Rosso, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Chase Bank, Carl’s Jr., and numerous service- and food-oriented retail concepts.
