Lamar has been active in the real estate business since 1982. He activities have included representation of three major development firms that were national in scope. His primary focus has been industrial buildings and park development in the major markets—Dallas/Fort Worth-Austin-Houston- in Texas.

Lamar moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 2003 to represent a major industrial developer.
Prior to entering the real estate business, Lamar was a senior manager for Xerox Corporation. His career there covered a period of 14 years, working in the Houston and Dallas markets.
