Bio
Larry Kallestad is a Managing Director and leads the third-party Property Management division in the Southern California region. Larry provides direct oversight of a portfolio comprised of 125 communities and over 31,000 apartment homes. He and his team are responsible for working alongside the capital projects and marketing teams in order to maximize operating performance and achieve revenue goals through calculated strategic pricing positioning. Larry is well versed in the management of lease-ups and the repositioning of properties, including the oversight of value-add and exterior capital improvements.
Before joining Greystar in 2010, Larry held the position of Senior Regional Manager at Equity Residential, a well-established real estate investment trust. He also held the position of Property Manager and Regional Manager for 14 years at The Irvine Company, where he specialized in operating student properties, stabilized assets, and lease-ups. Larry is actively involved in legislative business with the California Apartment Association and serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of a homeowners association. He holds a salesperson license with the California Department of Real Estate.
Larry earned his bachelor’s degree in Geography and Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach.
