Lauren Goddard serves as Associate Director of Research for CBRE, overseeing market intelligence and insights across Tennessee, including the Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Jackson, MS markets. In this role, she leads the development of data-driven research, market analysis, and strategic insights to support CBRE’s business lines and client pursuits statewide. Lauren works closely with CBRE’s broker teams and Elizabeth Goodwin, Senior Managing Director and Tennessee Market Leader, and reports to Scott Amoson, Associate Field Research Director in Atlanta.
With over eight years of experience in commercial real estate research, marketing, and operations, Lauren brings a deep understanding of market dynamics and data storytelling. Prior to joining CBRE in 2025, she served as Senior Vice President of Operations at Avison Young in Memphis, where she managed firmwide operations and strategy while refining her expertise in market analysis. Earlier in her career, she led marketing and research initiatives at Avison Young and served as Senior Research Analyst for Cushman & Wakefield | Commercial Advisors, where she specialized in spatial analysis, mapping, and market reporting. Her background also includes experience in community planning with the City of Memphis Division of Housing and Community Development.
A native of Burns, Tennessee, Lauren earned both her bachelor’s degree in Geography and her master’s degree in Earth Sciences from the University of Memphis. She is an active member of the Association of American Geographers and the American Planning Association. After 18 years in Memphis, she recently relocated back to Nashville, where she continues to combine her analytical expertise and passion for local market trends to strengthen CBRE’s research platform across the state.
Education
