Leo was born in San Antonio, and graduated from Texas Lutheran College, Seguin, Texas, with a BBA degree. He entered commercial real estate with Kittrell Realty, Inc. in 1968 and honed his skills as a broker, sales trainer and office manager. In 1978 he opened Kittrell-Perron, a commercial brokerage company handling properties in metropolitan San Antonio. In 1980 Perron & Company, Inc. was formed, and later expanded to admit additional principals.
Leo holds the GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) designation from the Texas Association of Realtors and the CCIM (Certified Commercial and Investment Member) designation from the National Association of Realtors. He has served on the faculty of the American College of Real Estate and is a certified instructor for the Texas Real Estate Commission. He is also a Past President of the San Antonio Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks now known as the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, as well as Past President of the San Antonio Board of Realtors Commercial and Investment Division. He currently directs the operation, management and leasing of a portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties in the San Antonio area. He has been a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker since 1968.
