Bio
Lily Kao is a Managing Director at AEW and Head of Asset Management for the firm’s Private Equity Group. In this capacity, she is responsible for the oversight of all asset management activities across all strategies and separate accounts. Lily is also a Senior Portfolio Manager for the firm’s open-end, core property strategy, where she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the portfolio's investments and operations as well as working closely with investor relations on marketing and providing support to the Fund’s investors. She has been with the firm since 1998 and is a member of AEW’s Investment and Risk Management Committees. Lily plays an integral part within the firm’s Senior Leadership Team, actively contributing to AEW’s overall strategic vision and direction. Lily serves as a Council Member for the Urban Land Institute (ULI). She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
