Luis Barrios Sanchez excelled in academia from a noticeably young age; he studied Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the Universidad Iberoamericana and then earned an MBA at the University of Texas at Austin.
His entrepreneurial vision became evident in 2002 when he launched Hoteles City, an innovative hotel concept focused on the business travel market in Mexico. Under his leadership, it became one of the largest hotel platforms in Mexico, transforming the industry and attracting the attention of major investors. In 2023, Barrios successfully sold the five brands developed by Hoteles City to Marriott International, marking a milestone in the company's history.
He recently led the transformation of Hoteles City into Promotora de Hoteles Norte 19, a company with more than 20 years of experience that offers a wide range of services, from hotel investment to tourism project development and technological solutions for hotel management.
